RAYMOND ALEXANDER Rites

Raymond Alexander, a lifetime resident and farmer in Madison County, died at McAllen, Texas last Saturday, January 19, 1974. He was 70 years of age.

Mr. Alexander was born in Madison County on January 2, 1904, the son of Fred and Elsie McDonald Alexander. He was married to Lucille Clark on November 21, 1925 at Winterset.

Mr. Alexander was a retired farmer, having ended his farming career in 1969. He was affiliated with the First Christian Church of Winterset.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, and four sons: Eugene and John of Winterset; Donald of Northglenn, Colo.; and Edward of Van Meter. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Diser of Liscomb, Iowa, and Mrs. Ruby Smith of St. Charles, Iowa; and by 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Delores, and Mrs. Ann Young; and by two brothers, Joseph and Robert.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. this Wednesday, January 23, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. E. E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
