Page 15, Column 4MRS. C. T. MOORHEAD DIES AT 86 YEARS
Mrs. C. T. Moorhead, a former Madison county resident, died Oct. 7 at Guthrie Center, it was learned here this week. She was 86 years of age.
Mrs. Moorhead was born near Menlo July 12, 1882, a daughter of Eli and Martha Messinger. She was the thirteenth in a family of 14 children.
On June 8, 1902, she was married to Clarence T. Moorhead. They lived most of their married life in Guthrie and Madison counties and observed their sixtieth wedding anniversary on June 8, 1962.
She was a long-time member of the Methodist church, and a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Her husband preceded her in death, as did also an infant son. She is survived by a foster son, James Moorhead, and his son, Larry, of Boulder, Colo.; and a brother Charles Messinger of DePere, Wisc.
Funeral services were held Oct. 10 from the Menlo Methodist church, with interment in the Menlo cemetery.
