Page 7DAISY GLEN CREGER, 100-year-old Resident of Truro Dies
Daisy Glen Creger of Truro, one of Madison County's oldest residents, died last Friday, Sept. 14, 1979, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. She was 100 years of age.
The daughter of William and Louisa Ellis Fenimore, she was born at Peru on Feb. 2, 1879.
She attended the Peru schools, and on Dec. 1, 1897 was married to Ora Creger. A housewife, Mrs. Creger was a member of the Christian Church of Truro.
Surviving are a son, Forest G. "Buck" Creger of Truro; four grandchildren, 10 grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. Marie Collings of Dallas, Texas; and a half-brother, Eugene Fenimore of Carthage, Mo.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, six brothers, a son, Ivor Creger and her parents.
Funeral services were held, Monday September 17 from Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Rev. Gayle Strickler of New Virginia officiated.
Burial was in Young Cemetery near Truro.

Daisy Glen Creger, 100, resident of Truro, Iowa, died at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset, Friday, September 14, 1979. Rev. Gayle Strickler of New Virginia, Iowa conducted the 10:00 a.m. service from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Interment was in the Young Cemetery in Truro, Iowa.
Daisy Glen Creger was born February 2, 1879 in Peru, Iowa, the daughter of William and Louisa Alice Ellis Fenimore. December 1, 1897, she was united in marriage to Ora Creger in Winterset, Iowa. They were the parents of two children. She was a housewife and was affiliated with the Christian Church in Truro, Iowa.
She is survived by her son, Forest G. “Buck” Creger and wife Marge of Truro, Iowa, four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, half sister, Mrs. Marie Collings of Dallas, Texas, half brother, Eugene Fenimore of Carthage, Missouri.
Preceding her in death were parents, five sisters, six brothers, son, Ivor P. Creger in 1946 and husband, Ora in 1964.
