MELVIN R. FOSTER Passed Saturday

Melvin R. Foster, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Saturday at his home east of Winterset. He was 67 years of age. Mr. Foster's death was a result of a heart attack.

Mr. Foster was born in Monroe township on Sept. 26, 1872, the son of George K. and Sarah Foster, early pioneers in Madison county. His entire life was spent in this community and Madison County.

He was married, Dec. 11, 1895, to Edna Orr. They were the parents of one son, George, who survives him. Mrs. Foster died in 1925.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the First Methodist church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. J. R. McNichols. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
