Death of Mrs. Wm. McLees

Mrs. Rebecca McDonald McLees, after years of ill health, died on March 22d at her home in Lisbon, N. D. Mrs. McLees, a daughter of William McDonald, was born near Winterset in the North Branch neighborhood and spent her life here with the exception of fourteen years of residence in North Dakota.

She was an earnest member of the United Presbyterian church from girlhood.

Funeral services were held her in the U. P. church Tuesday, March 27th at ten o'clock, Rev. W. J. Stewart conducting.

Besides her husband, a half brother, W. C. McDonald of Winterset, a sister, Mrs. Maggie McBride of Des Moines and two daughters, Jessie of Lisbon and Wilma Wade of Kirksville, Mo., remain.

Mrs. William McLees

Rebecca A. McDonald, daughter of William and Mary McDonald, was born near Winterset April 14, 1860. She was married to William McLees September 12, 1883 and fourteen years ago they moved to Lisbon, North Dakota. They have two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Wade, of Kirksville, Missouri, and Jessie McLees, of Lisbon, North Dakota.

Mrs. McLees died March 22, 1917 after a long illness. Besides her husband and two daughters, she leaves to mourn her loss, a brother, W. C. McDonald, of Winterset and one sister, Mrs. Maggie McBride of Des Moines.

In girlhood she made profession of faith in Christ and became a member of the North Branch United Brethren church, later was a member of the Winterset United Presbyterian church, but at the time of her death was a member of the Presbyterian church of Lisbon, North Dakota.

Funeral services were conducted by rev. W. J. Stewart at the United Presbyterian church Tuesday morning at ten o’clock and interment in Rock City cemetery.
