Annette C. Sawhill, Winterset

Annette C. Sawhill, 56, of Winterset died of complications of cancer Nov. 30, 1998, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with Dr. Ray Martin officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Ochiltree Funeral Service where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m.

Annette Sawhill was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Davenport to Jacob and Ann (Matysek) Eckhardt. She graduated from Davenport High in 1960. She married John Sawhill May 7, 1961. Annette was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Earlham. She also was a member of the U.P.W. of Earlham and Winterset, a longtime Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Des Moines Radio Amateur Association, a longtime volunteer examiner and also member of the Winterset Mat Club.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

She is survived by her husband; her parents of Bella Vista, Ark.; three sons, Mark Sawhill (wife Mavis) of Jefferson, James Sawhill of Griswold and Andrew Sawhill at home; two grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Jessie Sawhill of Winterset; and one sister-in-law, Eyleen McKinley of Earlham.

Memorial contributions may directed to Middle River Hospice or the Winterset Mat Club.
