1967CHARLES WRIGHT DIES AT 97 YEARS
Had Served As Winterset City Park Custodian for 27 Years
Charles E. Wright, life-time resident of Madison county, died last Thursday, March 9, at his home in Winterset. He was 97 years of age.
Mr. Wright was born at Winterset Feb. 1, 1870. His early life was spent in farming, but for 27 years he served as custodian of the Winterset city park.
He was married here March 12, 1899, to Eva Griffith, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, E. A. Wright of Pueblo, Colo., and Jerome Wright of Winterset; and a daughter, Mrs. Fern Breeding of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
