Goldene L. Dorman, 80, of Adel, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Services were held Monday, April 28, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery.

Goldene Dorman was born Sept. 2, 1922, on the family farm north of Earlham, the daughter of Bert and Alpha Gannon Fry. She married Dennis Dorman on Feb. 20, 1971 at Panther Creek Church in rural Dallas County. She worked as a stenographer for Skelly Oil Co. in Des Moines. She enjoyed playing the piano, bowling, crossword puzzles, needlework, and watching any kind of sports on television.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Adel; one sister, Dorothy Broyles of Adel; one step-daughter, Denise Salesman of Caney, Kan.; one step-son, Stephen Dorman of Caney, Kan.; two step-granchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
