Services Held For Former Resident

Roy Crabbs, a former resident of the Patterson community, died April 12th at LaMesa, California at the age of 87. He was born March 31, 1890 in Guthrie County and lived in Madison County until 1950.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Guthrie Center April 16th with Rev. Jerry D. Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Bear Grove Cemetery near Guthrie Center.

He is survived by his wife Helen of LaMesa, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Cole of Phoenix, Arizona and a son, Dallas Crabbs of Winterset, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Isaleta in June 1949, a son and three infant children.

Among those attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Crabbs, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cole and Mrs. Donnella Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Margaret Stewart of Durango, Colorado, Mrs. Irma Winkler of Wichita, Kansas.

Also Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lathrum, Mrs. Thelma Berry, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schirm of Winterset, Mr. and Mrs. Andy McGaffin of Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Woollums of Kellerton and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tindle of Arispe.
