Over the river the boatman pale,
Carried another the loved and best,
We hear not the murmer of the spreading sail,
We saw not the boat as it met the gail,
And carried our loved one to a land of rest.

Joe and Rhoda Hiatt have the sympathy of all the community in their great loss which they sustained in the death of their little daughter who passed away on the 26th of February. To make it more sad, if possible, she was an only child. Funeral services at the M. E. church conducted by W. C. Smith.
