IRMA FORD, Winterset

Irma Dell Ford, 88, died of a heart attack July 30, 1997 at her residence in Winterset. Funeral services were August 2 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Don Frank officiating. Burial followed at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Madison County on April 28, 1909 to Vernie and Maggie (Andrews) Taylor. On September 14, 1937, she married Guy Ford in Tribune, Kansas. She was a retired cashier at the United Food Store in Winterset. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and was also a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, and one brother.

Surviving relatives include one brother, Wesley Taylor and wife Edith of Indianola; two sisters, Bessie Sinn of Story City and Flossie Cummings of Iowa Falls, and one sister-in-law, Peggy Taylor of Norwalk.
