Berniece Edith Griffith, Winterset

Services for Berniece Edith Griffith, 90, who died March 22, 1986, at Bethesda Care Center were held Tuesday, March 25, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Rev. Clarence Lautt and Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Warren County Aug. 1, 1895, she was the daughter of Charles and Laura Buchanan Deets. She was married to Robert S. Griffith on Feb. 15, 1917, at Des Moines. Mrs. Griffith was a member of thhe First United Methodist Church in Winterset and the United Methodist Women, the Sunshine Garden Club, Metallic Club and Que Vie Club.

Survivors include a son, Wayne A. Griffith of Winterset, a daughter Lois Butcher of Indianola; brothers, Homer Deets of Winterset and Worth Deets of Des Moines.
