Services for Doris H. Griswold, 68, Winterset, who died May 20 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Wednesday, May 24 at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the Penn Center Cemetery.
Born in Madison County on Oct. 8, 1920, she was the daughter of Dennis and Bessie Lorimor Hollingsworth. She was married to David M. Griswold on June 12, 1945 at Winterset.
A homemaker, she was a lifetime resident of Madison County and Winterset. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Progressive Study Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; sons, David of Macksburg and Don of Iowa City; a brother, Bernard Hollingsworth of Winterset; sisters, Helen Jackson of Winterset, Evlyn Conley of Winterset an Mary Norbert of Stilwell, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
