GRACE MARQUARDT, Winterset

Services for Mrs. Grace Marquardt, 94, Winterset, who died of a heart ailment on Thursday, June 29, 1989, at the Winterset Care Center South, were held Saturday, July 1, at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Born Aug. 23, 1894, near Van Meter, she was the daughter of Samuel and Martha E. Shoults. She was married to Oscar Marquardt in Des Moines on Jan. 26, 1921.

Mrs. Marquardt lived all her life near Van Meter until 1982, at which time she entered the nursing home. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Suvivors include a daughter, Helen Martens of Winterset; and two grandsons, Frederick of Winterset and Bryan of San Francisco, Calif.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, a brother, two sisters and two granddaughters.
