Services for RAY EIVINS

A resident of Madison County for 64 years, Ray Eivins, died Saturday, December 27, 1975, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 71 years old.

Mr. Eivins was born May 11, 1904, in Madison County, the son of W. J. Eivins and Maude Finney. He was married to Hazel Anita Thomas October 22, 1924, in Madison County.

A retired farmer at the time of his death, Mr. Eivins was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Winterset and was a member of I.O.O.F. Grandriver Lodge 406 of Macksburg.

Surviving Mr. Eivins is his wife, Hazel A. Eivins of Winterset, three sons, James W. Eivins and Earl E. Eivins, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, John P. Eivins of Prescott, Aizona, and a daughter Donna E. Plocher of Mt. Clements, Michigan.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister, Esther (Mrs. Don Hannon) of Macksburg, Iowa.

Mr. Eivins was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for Ray Eivins were held Monday, December 29, 1975, at 10:30 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church in Winterset, the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was made at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Madison County.
