Funeral services were held this afternoon (Wednesday) February 27th, for Edith Maude Eivins of Winterset. Mrs. Eivins died last Saturday, February 23, 1974, at the Villa West in Winterset, at the age of 87 years.
Mrs. Eivins was born in Madison County on October 25, 1886, the daughter of Hezekiah and Olive Van Dusen Finney. She was married to Wes J. Eivins at Winterset on February 24, 1903.
Mrs. Eivins was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winterset, and was also a member of the United Methodist Women of Winterset.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Don (Esther) Hannon of Macksburg, and one son, Ray Eivins of Winterset. Also surviving are five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Eivins was preceded in death by her husband in April of 1973, and by two infant children, two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
