JOSEPH GRAHAM, Winterset

A funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 14, at Collins Funeral Home for Joseph Donald Graham of Winterset, who died Aug 11, 1982, at Winterset Care Center North. He was 76 years old.

Born in Ida Grove on June 5, 1906, he was the son of Lee and Nelle Lee Graham.

He was a veteran, serving in the army during World War II.

He spent most of his lifetime in this area. He was a printer by occupation, the owner and operator of Joe Graham Printing, 118 S. 1st St. in Winterseet.

Mr. Graham was active in a number of community organizations, including the American Legion, VFW, Kiwanis and the Winterset Art Center, where he was a member of the board of directors and also taught photography.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Fred and Harry.

Survivors include a niece, Susan Graham of Minneapolis; a sister-in-law, Edith Graham of Des Moines; and an aunt, Mable Perciaval Payton of Hollywood, California.

Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiated at the funeral service. A military graveside service was held at the burial site in Winterset Cemetery.
