JOHN HANRAHAN DIES AT 67 YEARS

John T. Hanrahan of Cumming, member of a well-known family in the Irish settlement of northeast Madison county, died Sunday, Jan. 5, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 67 years of age, and had been ill just five weeks.

Mr. Hanrahan was a life-time resident of Crawford and Lee townships. He was a son of Andrew and Alice Ryan Hanrahan, and was born in that community Aug. 22, 1901. His life was spent in farming.

He was member of St. Patrick's Catholic church in Lee township.

Surviving are a sister, Bridgetta Hanrahan of Martensdale and a brother, Andrew Hanrahan of Cumming; two nephews and a niece.

Requiem Mass was to be held this Wednesday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic church at Cummings, with the pastor, the Rev. Daniel J. Clark, officiating. The rosary was recited Tuesday evening from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset. Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery.
