Winterset resident Everett Loyd Oglesbee died at his residence on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the age of 79. A lifelong resident, he was born June 26, 1902, in Madison County, the son of Noah Warner and Rosezella Stevens Oglesbee.
On Jan. 23, 1927, he married Cleta J. Hess in Winterset. In 1966 he retired from farming.
Mr. Oglesbee was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.
In addition to his wife, Cleta, survivors include daughters Shirley Overskei of Nunda, D.D., and Patricia H. Turner of Winterset, son Harley of Thayer, Iowa. Also sisters Nellie King of Kamrar, Iowa, Gladys Evans of Winterset and Versa Faust of Indianola, and one grandson.
Services were conducted by Rev. Phill Hall Friday morning, Aug. 14, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was made at King Cemetery.
