MRS. DALE MULLINS DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Dale Mullins, long-time resident of Madison county died Monday, Feb. 24, at a hospital in Walnut Creek, Calif. She had been making her home there recently with her daughter, Mrs. Betty S. Fisher.

Mrs. Mullins was 76 years of age at her death. She was the former Martha Jane Packard, daughter of Newell A. and Anna Andrews Packard, and was born in Madison county May 1, 1892. She was married at Earlham on March 23, 1920 to Dale W. Mullins. His death occurred within the past year.

She was a past president of the auxiliary to the World War I Veterans, past president of the American Legion auxiliary, member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars auxiliary and of the Eastern Star chapter of Earlham.

Nearest surviving relatives are a daughter, Mrs. Betty S. Fisher of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Earlham chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Burial will be made in Otterman cemetery in Dallas county.

Services Friday For Martha Mullins

Martha Packard Mullins, 76, died at the Walnut Creek, California hospital on Monday, February 24. Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home in Winterset, Friday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Otterman cemetery, northwest of Van Meter.

She was the daughter of N. A. Packard and Anna Andrews Packard and had lived in Madison county most of her life. She was married to Dale Mullins March 23, 1920. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Betty S. Fisher, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Fisher of Walnut Creek, California.

She was active in the community affairs. She was past president of World War I Auxilliary, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Chapter 294 OES.

Her husband, Dale Mullins, died last June.
