Evelyn Hazel Trask, 77, of Winterset, died of complications of lymphoma Oct. 25, 1997 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Oct. 28 at the First Christian Church in Winterset. Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiated the services and burial followed at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Washington County on Dec. 30, 1919 to Charles Leslie and Alta (Hampsher) Eyestone. She married Eugene F. Trask on Feb. 10, 1943 in Canton, Mo. In 1956, she moved to Winterset coming from Mt. Ayr where she lived for 9 years. She was a homemaker, as well as working with her husband at Trask Jewelry for many years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Colonial Guild and the First Christian Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include her husband; one son, David Trask and wife Judy of Winterset; one daughter, Nancy Trask of Winterset; one brother, Dale Eyestone of Washington; four sisters, Geneva Zihlman of Washington, Louise Whetstine of Wellman, Jean Knight of Des Moines, Norma Icenbice of Sigourney; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Winterset.
