Services for Dwight Casper, 89, Winterset, who died Aug. 25 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Morrow officiating. Burial was at the North McDonald Cemetery.
Born at Valley Junction (West Des Moines), on May 18, 1896, he was the son of John and Mary Barrows Casper. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War I. He had lived in the Winterset area all his life, and was a member of the American Legion and the Christian Church in Winterset.
Survivors include a brother, Robert, Winterset; a sister Beulah Lull of Winterset; and stepsisters, Harriet MacCaughan of Tacoma, Wash., Perle Mercer of South Charleston, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
