Ralph C. Shoemaker, Winterset

Services for Ralph C. Shoemaker, 84, Winterset, who died Nov. 10 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center, were held Monday, Nov. 13, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born on Dec. 19, 1904 in Madison county, he was the son of George and Clarissa Wilkinson Shoemaker. He was a plumbing, heating and electrical contractor. He was married to Mary M. Eyerly on Sept. 27, 1931 in Winterset.

Mr. Shoemaker was a lifetime resident of Winterset and Madison County, a member of the First Christian Church and a deacon, trustee and treasurer of the church. For many years he served on the Winterset Volunteer Fire Department and was assistant chief for 18 years.
