Wednesday, December 19, 1973Linnie Kitchell Dies at 90 Years
Linnie Mae Kitchell, a resident of Madison County for most of her lifetime, died at Madison Manor South in Winterset on Monday, December 17, her 90th birthday.
Mrs. Kitchell was born in Madison County on December, 17, 1883, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Gibson Edwards. She was married to James A. Kitchell in Winterset on September 3, 1911.
Mrs. Kitchell was affiliated with the Methodist Church of Winterset, and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star in Winterset and in Baxter, Iowa.
Survivors include a son, Wesley Kitchell of Des Moines, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Norton; and by five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon, December 19, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Paul Bousfield presiding. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
