Services for Lillian Ann McBride, 94, Winterset, who died May 30, 1988, at Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Wednesday morning, June 1, at the Collins Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Hann and the Rev. John C. Darlington officiating. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery.
Born in Union County on July 23, 1893, she was the daughter of William and Mary Tenny McClelland. She was married to George Hann Sept. 20, 1919, in Des Moines. He died in 1932. She was married to Charles McBride on Oct. 12, 1943 in Fairfield. He died in 1969.
Mrs. McBride lived most of her lifetime in Madison County and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, past member of the Columbian Club and served on the board and as financial secretary of the Methodist church. At one point in early life, she was a school teacher and worked on a newspaper.
Survivors include a stepson, Dr. Paul Hann of Winterset; step-daughters, Mrs. Bess Hann Thomas of Russellville, Ark., Mrs. Norman Hann Greenfield of Norwalk, and Mrs. Opal McBride Abrahams of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Pauline McBride Hayne of Okemos, Mich., Maxine McBride of Indianola and Mrs. Ruth McBride Ocain of Troy, Montana; several grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a stepson, a stepdaughter and a half-brother.
