Beulah M. (Cox) Howard, Winterset

Graveside services for Beulah M. (Cox) Howard, 90, who died June 15 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Tuesday morning, June 18, at the North McDonald Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Morrow officiating.

Born in Douglas County, Ill., on Jan. 18, 1895, she was the daughter of George W. and Linnie May Hoots Light. She spent most of her life as a housewife and was a member of the Methodist church.

She was married to Herman Cox at Winterset on Feb. 7, 1914. He died in 1945. She was married to Walter D. Howard in Indianola in 1948 and he also preceded her in death in 1953.

Survivors include a son, George W. Cox, of Stafford, Mo.; daughters, Iva Frederick of Strafford, Arleta Bruns of Eldredge, and Rebecca Paton of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
