Jesse McDaniel, Winterset, merchant; born in Missouri, in 1842, and was raised there; he enlisted in the Seventh Missouri cavalry during the late war and served three years; he came to Winterset in 1873, and engaged in his present business; he married Julia Davis in 1873; she was a native of New York.
