H. N. Morton, Walnut twp., farmer, Sec. 6; P.O. Winterset; born in Licking county, Ohio, January 8, 1834; he came to Jasper county, Iowa, in the fall of 1856; while there he married Phebe Hallieville, October 13, 1859; she is a native of Ohio; they came to this county in the fall of 1864; they have one son and two daughters: Laura E., Mary E. and Clarence E.; he owns 195 acres of land.
