John Hilbery, Grand River twp., farmer, Sec. 10; P.O. Macksburg; was born in Indiana county, Pennsylvania in 1833, and emigrated to Illinois in 1855, and settled in Mercer county; he removed to this county in 1868; he is a carpenter by trade and for many years followed that occupation; he owns 240 acres of land; has held various township offices; he married Miss Julia A. Arasmith in 1861; she was born in Illinois; has three children: James G., Sabina and Henry C.
