S. C. Hiatt, Lee Twp., farmer, Sec. 17; P.O. Booneville; was born in North Carolina in 1835, and when young his parents removed to Indiana, where he was raised on a farm; he came to this State in 1859; he owns a farm of 80 acres of land; he married Miss Maria Sylvester in 1864; she was born in Indiana; they have four children: Josephine, John A., Jerome and Sylvester.
