Mrs. Elizabeth Hewit, farmer, Sec. 36; P.O. McPherson; born in Marion county, Indiana; she married Robert Hewit April 7, 1851; he was born in Marion county, Ohio, February 22, 1814, and from Ohio moved to Knox county, Illinois, where he remained until his removal to this county in 1866; Mr. Hewit died May 2, 1878.
