George W. Hampton, Winterset, grain dealer; born in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1840; during the war he was superintendent of river transportation at Nashville; came to this county in 1872; he married Miss Georgia English in 1866; she was born in Westport, Kentucky; has two children: Henry E. and Garnet.
