J. H. Farris, Union twp., farmer, Sec. 10; P.O. Winterset; was born in Illinois in 1839; his father moved to Missouri while he was young, and came to this county in April, 1851; owns 260 acres of land; he has held various township offices; he married Miss Dorindo Sturman in October, 1860; she was a native of Ohio; has three children: Henderson E., Lillian and Mary.
