Levi Dunn, Jackson twp., farmer, Sec. 8; P.O. Dexter; born in Washington county, Ohio, in 1824; removed to Peoria county, Illinois, in 1846, remaining there nine years, when he moved to Schuyler county, Missouri, and in 1857, settled in Warren county, Iowa, where he resided twenty-two years, then located in his present abode; he was married in Peoria county, Illinois, in 1846 to Phebe Bucey, who died in 1861; he married again in 1867 to Martha M. Benum, then of Warren county, Illinois, formerly of Hancock county, Illinois; has nine children living: Laura E., Washington W., Marion F., Jennette, Ellsworth, Belle, William T., Sarah E. and Lewis G.; owns eighty acres of land.
