Isaac P. Cox, Penn twp., farmer, Sec. 34; P.O. Dexter; owns eighty acres of land; born in Talbot county, Maine, in 1816; came to Iowa in 1861; married in 1842 to Miss Leah P. Bearnard, of Butler county, Ohio; has four children living: Sarah E., Malinda P., James R. and William B.; Mr. Cox is a carpenter by trade; has one son in college at Indianola, Warren county, Iowa, preparing himself for the ministry; Mr. Cox is an intelligent farmer who has acquired all his own property.
