C. F. Clanton, South twp.; farmer, Sec. 25; P.O. St. Charles; was born in Buchanan county, Mo., July 27, 1842; he came to this county with his parents when he was four years of age, in 1846; he married Miss Barbara A. Shaver, June 12, 1862, a native of Preble county, Ohio; they have a family of two sons and one daughter: Geo. W., Sarah E. and James D.; he owns 130 acres of land.
