E. Bennett, Douglas twp.; farmer, Sec. 2; P.O. Winterset; born in Marion county, Indiana, in 1833; came to this county in 1851; owns 172 acres of land; he married Miss Mary J. Leach December 8, 1857; she was born in Ohio; has two sons: Manford and Benton.
