John R. Beedle, Union twp.; farmer, Sec. 10; P.O. Winterset; born in Ohio in 1815 and moved to Indiana in 1830, and afterward lived in Illinois, and then emigrated to Missouri, and came to this county in 1848; he owns 240 acres of land on which he has a fine orchard of eight hundred trees; has held office of constable; he married Miss Isabel Carson in 1834; she was born in Hamilton county, Ohio; has nine children: Nancy, Hiram, Abraham C., Elizabeth, Margaret, Meriba, Dora S., Maria.
