W. M. Beaver, South twp.; physician and surgeon, P. O. St. Charles; born in Mercer county, Pennsylvania, January 17, 1845; he lived there until the spring of 1869; he then came to this place; he studied medicine with Dr. Cossitt, of Pennsylvania, and also with Dr. Anderson of this place; he married Miss Maria J. Bean November 19, 1867; she is a native of Mercer county, Pennsylvania; they have two sons and one daughter: Clara E., Reuben F. and Nevin D.
