Funeral services today for Mrs. Nordell, Yankton

Funeral services were held today, Monday, for Mrs. Evan (Ella) Nordell, age 75 of Yankton. She died Friday, July 20, at Yankton. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Jongewaard-Stapp Funeral chapel with Rev. Walter B. Phelps officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery at Doon.

Mrs. Nordell was born March 5, 1898, at Doon. She was the daughter of Bernhardt and Mary Joens Bauchspies. She married Evan Nordell. Pallbearers were Les Wiggins, Paul Baker, Tom Tille, Mark Tille, Jim Wiarda and Orie Kline.

Survivors include a daughter LaRue, Mrs. Glen Paulson of Yankton, S.D , three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild, five sisters, Minna, Mrs. Ed Dengler of Orange City; Elma, Mrs. Dewey Herbert of Cherokee; Clara, Mrs. Albert Borman of Rock Rapids; Bertha, Mrs. Ellis Winrow, and Lily, Mrs. Lee Strait of Rock Rapids.
