Elfreda Romey Bible Information

I have acquired a Bible which was presented to Elfreda Romey, Dec. 25, 1916. Her age is listed as 15 years, 9 months and 4 days. It was presented by her mother, Etta Martin Romey.

There are handwritten notes throughout the book, but these relate to the owner's study of the Bible, not the family line. Notes on the inner cover suggest that the owner is related to Edwin A. Romey, of Sibley, Osceoloa County, Iowa.

A brief search found the 1910 census record of Freda Romey, born 1901. Her father was E.A. Romey, and mother E.M. Romey. Freda was their first child. In 1910, they lived in Lyon County, IA. The 1900 census shows Edward A. Romey and E.F. Romey living in Sibley Town, Holman, Osceola County, IA. Further up the same page, Albert H Romey and his family are shown. He immigrated from Germany and was the proprietor of Sibley's General Store.

I don't see that this family was been posted previously, but I am more than glad to pass on the Bible to an interested family member. All I ask is what I paid for it, $5.00 plus actual cost of shipping. Contact me if interested.
