How can we find out information and vital records for one James P. Gilman? He is directly related to Nicholas Gilman, signer of the US Constitution. He was born in Gilmanton, NH to Nicholas Gilman and Hannah True but later moved to George, Iowa (Rock Township, Lyon County). He was born around 1755. His son was True or E.T. or Enos True Gilman, who was born in George, Iowa around 1877. We are trying to establish the lines with vital records, etc. Lillian True Gilman was born in George, Iowa in 1904, son of Enos True Gilman. WE also are trying to locate her vital records. She is my son's great grandmother.
