Full Obituary:

Rock Rapids, Iowa -- Henrietta “Hank” Tille, age 87 of Rock Rapids, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Rock Rapids Health Care Centre. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, June 18th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, with Rev. Daniel Kordahl officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 17th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids.

A second Funeral service at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, June 19th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stickney, South Dakota, with Rev. H. Flemming and Rev. Daniel Kordahl officiating.

Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery near Stickney, South Dakota. Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of services.

Henrietta LaVonne Tille was born October 19, 1924, at Stickney, South Dakota, the daughter of Henry D. and Ruth E. (Davis) Wulf. She was raised on the family farm west of Stickney and attended 8 years of school. After a few years she moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where she worked at Phillips Cafeteria.

While living there she married Henry A. Schuldt on November 28, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple moved to Hanks parents farm ten miles west of Stickney and farmed for several years. On December 3, 1979, Henry died after 33 years of marriage.

On October 24, 1980, Hank married Peter J. Tille at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stickney, South Dakota. They lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where Hank worked at the VA Hospital. In August of 1983 Peter died after two years of marriage.

She remained living in Sioux Falls, working at the VA Hospital and there she met Paul A. Tille. They were married on November 26, 1985 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Rock Rapids, Iowa, where they made their home. After nineteen years of marriage, Paul died on August 24, 2004.

Hank was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, life time member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 6554 in Plankinton, South Dakota. She also was very active with community activities. She enjoyed embroidering towels and quilts, playing bingo, card clubs, bowling, baking and cooking for others. She was famous for her deviled eggs and potato salad and will be remembered for her infectious laugh.

She is survived by her children, Sandie (Duane) Aymar of Miller, South Dakota, Susie (Gene) Tastad of Stickney, South Dakota, Terry (Deb) Schuldt of Plankinton, South Dakota, Sheila Wels of Mitchell, South Dakota, Sybil (Vince) Hedrick of Mankato, Minnesota, Cathy Van Meeteren of Palmdale, Calif., Pam (Jim) Scheepstra of Worthington, Minnesota, Tom (Pam) Tille of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Mary (John) Thomas of Titusville, Florida and Anne (Toby) Ageson of Rock Rapids, Iowa; twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Vernon Wulf of Mitchell, South Dakota, Walter Wulf of Plankinton, South Dakota, Mickey Darrough of Sioux City, Iowa, Pauline Greene of Plankinton, South Dakota, Lawrence (Agnes) Wulf of Hawarden, Iowa, Vi Morrison of Plankinton, South Dakota, Richard Wulf of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Henry Wulf of Marcus, Iowa, Laura (Harold) Buck of Armour, South Dakota, Olive Frauenfelder of Lead, South Dakota and Bea Wulf of Stickney, South Dakota; dear friend, Ruth Lupkes of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth Wulf; husbands, Henry Schuldt, Peter Tille, and Paul Tille; one son-in-law, LaVerne Overweg; one son, Mark Tille; one granddaughter, Christina Schuldt; two brothers, Albert and Barney Wulf; and two sisters, a stillborn and Elaine Edinger.
