Frances B. Kluemper – April 15, 1930 – September 29, 2009

Frances B. Kluemper, 79, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating.

Graveside services will be in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Rock Rapids, Iowa.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Frances was born April 15, 1930, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Delia (McGraw) Kluemper.

She graduated from George (Iowa) High School and attended Briar Cliff College. She also was an office worker.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the church confraternity. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Ave Maria 269, of which she was an officer.

She also was a member of the Catholic Women's League, charter and life member of the Lyon County Historical Society and was an election official for Woodbury County for many years.

Survivors include her sister, Sister Rose Ellen Kluemper, O.S.F., of Mishawaka, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Catholic Daughters of America.
