Mrs. Annie Freed Dies Here Early Tuesday Morning

Funeral Thursday At Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2 p. m.

Last rites for Mrs. Annie Freed will be held at Immanuel Lutheran church here Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. G. D. A. Engelhardt officiating. Mrs. Freed died of a heart attack following a spell of virus pneumonia here Tuesday at 3:30 a,m.

Mrs. Freed was born in Ida county on December 20, 1884, the daughter of Henry and Caroline Nagel. At an early age she moved with her parents to a location near Alvord. As a young lady she was also employed at a hotel in Rock Rapids.

On December 20, 1908, Miss Nagel was married to Jelmer Freed, and for a short time the couple lived on a farm near Alvord, later moving to Rock Rapids where Mr. Freed was employed.

Mr. Freed died on November 5, 1953, and a son, Walter died about 10 years ago.

Surviving Relatives

Mrs. Freed is survived by a son, Elmer of Marshall, Minn., and a daughter, Caroline, Mrs. Emil Rockman, of Fairbault, Minn.; also by two brothers, John and Will Nagel of Rock Rapids, and by eight grandchildren.

Pall bearers at the funeral will be Louie Dehn, Herman Haack, Bill Peterson, Herb Florian, Eldo Thedens and Glert Foltz. Lockwoods is in charge of arrangements.

Soloist will be Delbert Newborg and Mrs. Merle Olson will Preside at the organ. Mrs. Freed was a member of Immanuel Lutheran for a good number of years.
