RICEVILLE, IOWA - Frieda Bertha Eide, 94, of Riceville, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.

She was born October 31, 1919, near George in Lyon County, daughter of Ralph and Essie Stubbe Lamfers. She married Albert Hetrick on March 20, 1940, at the home of her parents. He died on February 13, 1947. She married Gordon Eide on January 28, 1955. He died in 1990.

Mrs. Eide sold Stanley Home Products and was a member of Saratoga Presbyterian Church.

Survived by a son, Merlynn “Hank” (Marolyn) Hetrick of Roxton, Texas; a daughter, Ruth Eileen (Roy) Watts of Readlyn; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Elvin Lamfers of Sun City, Arizona; and a sister, Anna DeJong of Rock Rapids.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Bernice Becker.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Saratoga Presbyterian Church, with burial in Saratoga Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
