Inwood, Iowa - Angela M. Bauman, 25, of Inwood, died unexpectedly, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

A funeral service will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the First Reformed Church at Inwood with Rev. Brian Quall officiating and Rev. Todd Schlitter. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery.

Angela was born March 17, 1988 at Sanford Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, daughter of Mark and Sue (Niemeyer) Bauman. After graduating West Lyon High School in 2006, she attended Augustana College and University Center with goals to become a nurse and EMT. Angela was married to Adam Kroger on June 14, 2008. They were involved in a motor vehicle accident on October 19, 2008 which left her with a spinal cord injury. After rehab at Craig Hospital in Denver, CO, she re-enrolled at Augustana College and was a current student.

Since she no longer was able to continue her previous goals, her next endeavor was to become a high school science teacher and coach and recently with her sister, Amy, had coached the 7th grade AAU volleyball team from West Lyon. She was our Dutch leprechaun, who had a contagious smile, determination, and a will to succeed in life. Even though there were many obstacles and challenges, she always had a positive outlook in life. Her Uncle Joel was a huge inspiration in her life to never give up as they shared similar circumstances and challenges. Angela enjoyed being with her friends, reading, American Idol and attending her sister's and brother's sporting events and was their biggest fan.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her parents, Mark and Sue Bauman; sister, Amy; brother, Cody; grandparents, John and Pat Bauman of Rock Valley; aunts, Wilma (Lee) Engstrom of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Terry (George) White of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sharon Niemeyer of Inwood; cousins, Jason, Cory (Nicole), Anna, Ryan (Jill) Engstrom, Tracy (Billy) Burrell; and many friends.

Preceding Angela to heaven were her grandparents, Henry and Elsie Niemeyer; uncles, Joel and Case Niemeyer.
