William Nyenhuis – January 7, 1892 – December 5, 1952

Funeral services for Will Nyenhuis of Rock Rapids were held at 12:30 at the home and 1 o'clock at the Christian Reformed church of Rock Rapids Friday afternoon, Dec. 5.

Mr. Nyenhuis died of a heart attack while working on a farm. Rev. Paul Veenstra and Rev. Vande Lune officiated with Lockwoods in charge. Burial was at Hull. Pallbearers were Dave Heinsma, Bert Vande Vegte, Tony Driesen, Henry Snieder, Gerrit Van Wyhe and Dick De Groot.

Mr. Nyenhuis was born January 7, 1892 in the Netherlands. He was married to Senny Van Pykeren on January 7, 1917. Four children were born to this union, all of whom now survive. The family moved to Rock Rapids 22 years ago where he was Watkins dealer for 17 years. At the time of his death he was employed as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife and the following children: Willis and Floyd of California, Jeanette, Mrs. Abe Fien of Hills, Minn. and Gerrit of Rock Rapids, nine grandchildren, a brother, Abel, of Sioux Center and a sister, Mrs. Henry Vande Berg, (Winnie) of Hull.

The Nyenhuis family is special friends of the Snieders at Sioux Center.
