Des Moines, Iowa - April 29, 2013 - Ardis Harms, 64, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of George, Iowa, died unexpectedly at her home Monday, April 29, 2013.

Family graveside services will be at a later date with interment at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, George.

Ardis Ann Harms was born April 24, 1949 near George, to Wesley E. and Alma (Beek) Harms. She graduated from George High School in 1967. She was employed by Tarko Doll Co., in George for several years and, after moving to Des Moines, was employed by the Des Moines Register.

Survivors include her siblings, Sandra Clinton of Sioux Falls, S.D., Wanda Middle of Urbandale, Iowa and Ernie Harms of Des Moines, Iowa; three nieces and two nephews and their families; and many Beek and Harms cousins. Ardis was preceded in death by her parents.
