Arnold Lee Heidebrink was born on February 20, 1932 in Little Rock, Iowa, the son of Onno and Pauline (Stierler) Heidebrink. He grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock High School in 1949. After high school, he was employed at the local lumber yard until being drafted into the United States Army.

On March 3, 1952, Arnold was united in marriage to Marilyn Russman and two days later he left for active duty and served in Germany during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954. Arnold and his wife Marilyn lived in Little Rock all of their married lives and raised six children.

Over the years, Arnold had various jobs including milk hauling, Arnie’s Plumbing & Heating, bus driving and then coast to coast truck driving. Arnold & Marilyn enjoyed traveling the country visiting their son Alan where he was stationed in the Navy.

Some of his hobbies over the past few years were making Wahoo game boards for his family, going to Joel’s house to watch his turkeys, stopping at the casino after Dr. appointments to play the penny slots, and tea time with his friends. One of his favorite meals was fresh walleye and he enjoyed going out to eat with his family. He was always interested in his grandchildren’s activities and attended when his health permitted. He will be greatly missed.
